Straight answers
What does 5521 mean?
It is the barrel size: 5.5 mm across the outside and 2.1 mm across the inside pin hole, with the decimal points dropped. The other common size is 5.5 × 2.5 mm, written 5525 — the two look almost identical and are the most common ordering mistake on this range.
What is the lock collar for?
It grips the plug so it does not work loose when the cable is pulled. The yellow 4017 Soni pin has one; the plain 5521 does not.
What is the difference between Plain and Heavy Q?
Same fitment, heavier build. The Heavy Q has a thicker wall, a firmer solder tail and a black collar. It costs more and survives rough handling better.
Do you supply the socket as well as the plug?
Yes. Order both together if you are building the lead and the enclosure, and mention it so we can check they match.
Is there a minimum order?
